Privacy Policy for AZ Weak Voice

AZinvent provides AZ Weak Voice, an assistive communication application that can convert speech or typed text into spoken output and can optionally create authorized Personal Voice output.

1. Local speech and Personal Voice processing

AZ Weak Voice is designed so that its in-app offline speech-recognition and Personal Voice generation can run locally on the user’s device after the user chooses and downloads the required model files. AZinvent does not receive or upload the user’s voice recordings, reference audio, Live Transcript, Type to Speak text, Quick Phrase text, transcripts, or generated Personal Voice speech to the AZ Weak Voice licensing backend for these local processing functions.

Gboard voice typing and Android system text-to-speech are separate Android/third-party services selected by the user and may have their own privacy practices and network/offline behavior.

2. Model downloads

When the user chooses to download a recognition or Personal Voice model, the device connects to the relevant model/software hosting service. Those providers may receive ordinary network information such as IP address and request metadata under their own policies. Model downloads are user initiated.

3. Personal Voice authorization

Users should create or use Personal Voice references only when they own the voice recording or have explicit lawful permission from the person whose voice is represented. AZ Weak Voice is not intended to authorize impersonation, fraud, deception, or other unlawful use.

4. Personal Voice Pro trial

The Personal Voice Pro trial lasts 168 hours and begins when the user explicitly taps Start 7-Day Free Trial and anonymous online activation/recovery succeeds. After that activation, Personal Voice generation can continue offline during the remaining trial, including the first generation.

To prevent ordinary uninstall/reinstall from creating a new trial, AZ Weak Voice requires an Internet connection once when activating or recovering the trial. The app creates an app-scoped SHA-256 device pseudonym from Android’s app-scoped device identifier and the app-signing identity. The raw Android identifier and signing certificate are not sent to AZinvent. The licensing service HMACs the received pseudonym again with a server-only secret and stores only the resulting anonymous record identifier together with trial start/end and limited recovery/app-version metadata.

After activation, Personal Voice generation can work offline for the remaining trial period. AZinvent does not receive or upload speech, transcripts, reference audio, generated Personal Voice audio, profile names, or generation-count/usage-history events to the AZ Weak Voice licensing backend as part of trial licensing.

The local trial entitlement is cached in Android Keystore-protected app-private storage and may use local device-time information to detect material clock rollback. Ordinary uninstall/reinstall removes the local cache, but the app can recover the original active or expired trial from the anonymous backend record when Internet is available.

5. Google Play purchases and promo redemption

If the user purchases or restores Personal Voice Pro Lifetime, AZ Weak Voice uses Google Play Billing. The app sends limited purchase-verification information to AZinvent’s licensing verification service: Android package name, Google Play product ID, Google Play purchase token, and app version. The verification service uses the Google Play Developer API to confirm the entitlement and acknowledge a valid purchase when needed.

Official Google Play promo-code redemption can be started from inside AZ Weak Voice, but Google Play performs the actual redemption. AZ Weak Voice does not operate a private activation-code system for ordinary users or Lifetime purchases.

AZinvent does not require an AZ Weak Voice user account for trial activation, purchase, restore, or promo redemption. Google Play processes payment information under Google’s own privacy terms. AZinvent does not receive the user’s full payment-card details through AZ Weak Voice.

6. Google Play review access

For Google Play app review, AZ Weak Voice includes a separate review-only authorization mechanism so an authorized Google reviewer can test Personal Voice Pro without making a purchase or consuming the normal user trial.

The reviewer enters a private review credential through a hidden review-access screen. The app sends the credential over HTTPS to the licensing service together with package/app metadata and the same app-scoped SHA-256 device pseudonym used for account-free licensing. The Android app does not store the plaintext review credential. The backend compares it against a configured SHA-256 hash and, if authorized, returns a device-bound, time-limited review-session token. The token is cached separately in Android Keystore-protected encrypted app-private storage.

Review authorization is rechecked online before each Personal Voice Pro synthesis that relies on review access. The developer can disable or rotate review access on the server, including for already-installed app copies. Review access does not create a Google Play purchase, does not grant Personal Voice Pro Lifetime ownership, and does not start the seven-day trial.

The review mechanism is intended for Google Play review rather than ordinary end users. The production service does not log or retain plaintext review credentials or review-session tokens.

7. Support & Diagnostics

Support reports are created locally only when the user explicitly requests a preview. Nothing is uploaded or sent automatically. The user must separately choose Share Report and select a destination through Android’s share interface.

The default Support Report is designed to exclude recordings, reference audio, transcript text, Type to Speak text, Quick Phrase text, saved voice/profile names, purchase tokens, promo codes, and the anonymous trial-device pseudonym. It can contain app/build information, device/Android information, memory information, technical model/runtime information, current non-content settings, safe Core/Trial/Lifetime state, and recent local crash/process details with conservative text redaction.

If a user voluntarily sends a Support Report or other information to AZinvent, AZinvent may use that information to respond to the support request and diagnose the reported issue.

8. Analytics and advertising

AZ Weak Voice does not include advertising SDKs or general-purpose analytics/telemetry SDKs. If this changes in a future version, this policy and the Google Play Data safety information will be updated as appropriate.

9. Data retention

Local recordings, models, Personal Voice profiles/references, settings, local trial cache, any temporary local Google Play review-session cache, and local crash/support records remain on the user’s device until removed by the user, cleared through app controls, app data is cleared, or the app is uninstalled, subject to Android storage behavior.

For anonymous trial-abuse prevention, the licensing service stores a server-HMAC anonymous record identifier together with trial start/end and limited recovery/app-version metadata. These records are retained as needed to preserve the original trial status across ordinary uninstall/reinstall and to prevent repeated trials. They do not contain speech, transcripts, reference audio, generated Personal Voice audio, profile names, or generation-count/usage-history events.

Google Play purchase tokens are used for purchase verification and restoration of Personal Voice Pro Lifetime entitlement. AZ Weak Voice does not require an AZinvent user-account database for purchase verification.

Support information voluntarily sent to AZinvent may be retained only as long as reasonably necessary to respond to and resolve the support request.

10. Security

AZinvent uses reasonable technical measures appropriate to the service, including HTTPS for the production licensing endpoint, server-side HMAC protection for anonymous trial records and review sessions, remotely revocable review authorization, and local Android Keystore protection for entitlement/trial/review-session state. No system can guarantee absolute security.

11. Children’s privacy

The data practices described in this policy apply regardless of the user’s age. AZ Weak Voice does not require an AZinvent user account, and its licensing backend does not receive or upload the user’s speech, transcripts, reference audio, generated Personal Voice audio, or saved profile names for the local speech and Personal Voice functions described above.

If a child uses AZ Weak Voice, a parent or guardian should supervise purchases, model downloads, voluntary sharing of Support Reports, and the creation or use of Personal Voice references. Google Play, Gboard, Android system services, and other third-party services used by the user are governed by their own privacy practices.

12. Changes to this policy

AZinvent may update this policy when the app or its data practices change.
